Originally by: Erxi I think Eve can continue to grow and be an outstanding game in the long run. But you need new players, and I think the skill training system as it stands now discourages some people from joining.
agreed. i have one solution tho:simply just lower level 4 and 5 BASIC learning skills training time a LOT. adv skills still cost~4M, so they are not easy to get if ur corp dont help. yeah and those+2implants are just too expensive, veterans dont use those(?) & noobs cant afford those....

Originally by: Elysabef Kutakis Edited by: Elysabef Ship Classes restricted by Security Standing.
- Pirates get Pirate-Class Vessels, only permitted in 0.4 and below (shot on sight in 0.5-1.0) - Empire Pilots get Civilian-Class Vessels, only permitted in 0.5 and above. (Passenger Liners, Racers, Science-Ships, Manufacturing Ships)
NO. reasons:
1. eve map has certain low sec systems that are between empire-empire it would make traveling allmost impossible.(can be done yes but i dont want to make extra ~30 jumps just because of that)
2.where is "realistic" point of view?
3.in long run wonŠt solve anything.
Better skill descriptions yes i agree with u.

Originally by: Russo The idea about speeding up the 1st 5 million skill points....sure go ahead. Just let my next 5 million train really fast too. That would be fair. You think all the veterans werent noobs at one time too? You think we all have lost alot of ships and pods over the years getting our experience and wealth? It is a fair system, you just want everything now now now.
There are skills...and there is experience. You want all the skills quick, but you wont have the experience so it wont help so much since you will still get rocked by tricky players who have been around the block more than a few times.
u forgetted one little thing that imo is main reason for this discussion. there are hell of alot more MUST HAVE skills now than ~2years ago u older players have edge to get those skills straight when they come available and no im not forgetting u didnt have those adv learnings when started. im not saying that n00bs should someday catch older player that wouldnŠt be very nice. but EVE is really not a noob friendly game and that fact u have to train ~6 months BASIC MUST HAVE skills is not very good thing.... im not complaining for me this is "ok" but i wonder how many players will skip EVE because of this? some of those people dont have patience anyway but what about that other part?

2nd server? u gotta be kidding me. 2nd server would ruin a lot of things politics, corporation n00b recruiting programs, market, mining, pos etc etc etc. 1 of eveŠs speciality is that there are ALL players in same server and those players run most of things what there is happening u have played too much WoW (that was a bit unnececcary to say but i say it anyway). for 1 skill at level 5 at start hmmm for me that doesnt solve anything coz EVE is all about having fun and when u can have something "for free" or right away its not fun imo.
